Hosted by CannabizMD (CBMD) and supported by FiveTen Wellness and RN4Wellnes, the CBMD Provider Education Forum will be an innovative resource for physicians and other healthcare professionals with focus on the science and therapeutic use of medical cannabis, medical ethics, regulatory compliance and the future of medical cannabis. Conversations include suggested guidance on approaches to multidisciplinary collaboration and the practical application of translational research models to advance cannabis science.
Rachel Knox, M.D., MBA introduced the endocannabinoid system and cannabinoid medicine to the TEDx worldwide audience April 2019. She is passionate about educating her professional peers and broader public about the safety and effectiveness of Cannabinoid Medicine, the evidence-based clinical integration of Endocannabinology with Cannabinology as well as the study of the pharmacology of cannabinoids and cannabimimetic biologics. Dr. Knox has seen first-hand how significant a role cannabis and cannabimimetic modalities play in helping patients reclaim their health and overall sense of wellness, establishing renewed ownership over their lives. Dr. Knox is a co-founder of the American Cannabinoid Clinics and ADVENT Academy, Chair Medical Committee of the Minority Cannabis Business Association, spokesperson for Doctors for Cannabis Regulation, certified member of the American Academy of Cannabinoid Medicine, and Chair Oregon Cannabis Commission.
