1. Eligibility and Age Requirement
You must be at least 21 years of age to access or use the CannabizMD site. By using the site, you represent and warrant that you are 21 years of age or older and that you have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms of Use. The site is not directed to, and may not be used by, anyone under the age of 21.
2. No Medical, Scientific, or Professional Advice
CannabizMD makes no representation, warranty, or guarantee that any information provided on the CannabizMD site — whether contributed by users, visitors, or site administrators — has been supported, proven, verified, or otherwise confirmed by medical, scientific, or other clinical research. All content is provided for general informational purposes only and does not constitute medical, scientific, legal, or professional advice. Patient stories are personal, anecdotal accounts of individual experiences with medical cannabis; they should not be relied upon as evidence of efficacy or as a substitute for the guidance of a qualified healthcare provider. Always consult a licensed physician or other qualified professional before making decisions about cannabis or any other treatment.
3. Federal and State Legal Status of Cannabis
In April 2026, the U.S. Department of Justice and Drug Enforcement Administration issued a final order reclassifying certain categories of cannabis from Schedule I to Schedule III of the federal Controlled Substances Act. This rescheduling is limited in scope: it applies to FDA-approved cannabis-containing drug products and to cannabis subject to a qualifying state medical marijuana license. All other cannabis — including adult-use (recreational) cannabis, unlicensed cannabis activity, bulk cannabis, and synthetically derived THC — remains a Schedule I controlled substance under federal law. A separate federal administrative proceeding to consider the broader rescheduling of all cannabis remains ongoing. CannabizMD’s policies, content, and operations are guided by current federal law and applicable state law, and are subject to change as the legal and regulatory landscape evolves. CannabizMD assumes no responsibility for any criminal, civil, or administrative penalties arising from the unlawful possession, manufacture, or distribution of cannabis by site users or visitors.
4. Assumption of Risk
By continuing to use this site, you assume all legal, medical, and other risks associated with the use, possession, distribution, or manufacture of cannabis for medical or any other purpose within the United States.
5. Intellectual Property
All content on this site — including text, graphics, logos, the CannabizMD name and associated marks, white papers, course and Academy materials, data, and software — is the property of CannabizMD, LLC or its licensors and is protected by United States and international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, republish, frame, or create derivative works from any site content without CannabizMD’s prior written permission, except as expressly authorized in writing or as permitted by applicable law.
6. Limitation of Liability
The site and all content are provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement. To the fullest extent permitted by law, CannabizMD, LLC and its members, officers, employees, contractors, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising out of or related to your access to or use of the site, whether based in contract, tort, or any other legal theory. CannabizMD’s aggregate liability for any claim arising under these Terms shall not exceed the greater of the amount you paid to CannabizMD in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim, or $100.
7. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless CannabizMD, LLC and its members, officers, employees, contractors, and affiliates from and against any and all claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, and expenses, including reasonable attorneys’ fees, arising out of or related to your use of the site, your violation of these Terms of Use, or your violation of any applicable law or the rights of any third party.
8. Governing Law
These Terms of Use are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Maryland, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the site shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in Maryland, and you consent to personal jurisdiction in those courts.
